On June 7, 2008, members of the Scott County Genealogical Society (SCGS) met at the Kentucky History Center in Frankfort to participate in the KHS Brick Ceremony. A brick commemorating SCGS was placed on the front steps of the History Center.

Representing SCGS at the ceremony were Kitty Allen, Historian; Sarah Baston, Treasurer; Nancy Giles, President; Tom Beatty, Vice-President; and members Betty Ratcliffe and Maxine Friedly.
